The Cheese Monkeys

As I finished The Cheese Monkeys by Chip Kidd I was very surprised in the turn of events towards the end...The book changed from the light and witty book to even a dark novel in the last 50 pages. I was shocked to read about what happened to Himillsy, since she was my favorite charater. Overall the entire book was just okay for me, I was basically reading it to read it...nothing recreational.

    completely agree, I've read the sequel titled "The Learners" and the plot becomes even darker. She was my favorite character as well and it was interesting to see the twists her character takes throughout the end of the book. I wish i had a friend like Himillsy just to see what it would be like...

    Agreed. It was such a sudden transition that I actually had to re-read the last few chapters to make sure I'd gotten it right. I was really interested by Himillsy, though - I loved the fish she sent at the end, but I didn't understand why she was getting further and further away from the phone... unless it was for something like she's leaving Happy's life?
