Speak 1-198
I read the book SPEAK by: Laurie Anderson. This book is about a girl who was raped at a party, and called the cops all during the summer before she entered high school. By calling the cops, who later arrested people at the party for underage drinking and other shenanigans, has led this girl down the road to exile among her peers. Melinda made a terrible impression on her new class mates and had a very rough year. Fortunately, at the end Melinda get up the courage to tell her rapist, a very popular guy at school, how she felt and how what he did ruined her life...and while doing this some athletes overheard the conversation. The athletes told their friends, and their friends to other friends and soon the whole school knew Melinda's story and she was honored as a hero. This story was not only excellent, but also was based on the authors actual life which made the book a bit more intriguing.

Finish
I was very impressed with the end of my book, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. Somehow throughout the whole story I had a feeling his mom was alive, and that his dad was not telling him the truth. I think I felt this way because I have lost a parent, and I have always had a one little hope that they were actually out there trying to find me. I was surprized though to hear that Christopher's dad was the murderer of the poodle. It showed the hatred between the Shears family and the Boones. I really enjoyed this book because it was hilarious, and a true page turner. I do not like reading, however, this book was actually a pleasure to read and I would recomend it to anyone who like mysteries or just a funny book.
